Early Sign Up for 2014 Cape Fear Crime Festival!

We will have early sign-up prices this year for next year's event, Saturday, February 1st!

Prices are going up next year - we want everyone to have a chance to win the Gunny Award with the cash prize and to attend the best writer's event in North Carolina!

We are one of the first events to offer Skyping and will have some big name authors in 2014. PLUS - we will be offering not just writing craft workshops, but also experts in various fields that will help you make your mystery/suspense more realistic.

Sign up March 1st through September 1st for only $30. From September to the end of December the cost goes up to $35, and in January and at the door, the cost will be $40.

The Gunny Award!

The Gunny Award will be given to the best Mystery/suspense novel from 2013. The recipient will also receive $100!

Rules:

The Gunny Award will be presented on Saturday afternoon at the close of the festival. Winner will also receive a $100 prize to help further their writing efforts.

The Gunny will be presented to the best mystery or suspense novel, published in 2013, of 50,000 to 100,000 words. One book, electronic or print, per author. No exceptions! Entrants must be registered guests for the event.

Registered guests who have a book they wish to have entered in the contest should send the title, ISBN, and book cover to joyce@joyceandjimlavene.com after paying festival registration fee. You will be informed of your entry receipt. Book titles and authors in the running for the award will be listed at the Cape Fear Crime Festival blogsite.
